Frequently asked questions
What is PosiCap?
PosiCap is PositoAI's own way to group companies by size, using their market value in rupees: Nano Cap up to ₹100 Cr, Micro Cap ₹100 Cr to ₹1,000 Cr, Mini Cap ₹1,000 Cr to ₹10,000 Cr, Meso Cap ₹10,000 Cr to ₹1 lakh Cr, and Tito Cap above ₹1 lakh Cr.
How is PosiCap different from large, mid and small cap?
In India, large, mid and small cap follow SEBI's rank-based rule (the top 100, the next 150, the rest), and in the US they usually follow dollar bands. PosiCap uses the same fixed rupee bands for every country, so a Tito Cap company in India and one in the US are of similar size.
Why five classes instead of three?
Three classes put very different companies together, for example a ₹200 Cr company and a ₹15,000 Cr company can both be small cap. Five classes separate the tiniest companies (Nano, Micro) from established mid-sized ones (Mini, Meso) and the largest (Tito).
Does a company's PosiCap class change?
Yes. It follows the company's market value, which is updated every day, so a company can move up or down a class.
